The new technologies emerging in the automotive field, which accede in real life at incredible speed, introduce new conditions for the development of involved branches but also for the engineering educational system. In the new context, there are at least two paradigms subject to change regarding the training and continuous improvement of specialists in the automotive field. The first refers to the fact that it is no longer possible to train specialists within a single training program, so it is necessary to combine the programs in the involved fields and develop new training programs. The second refers to the traditional university training model, which can also be contested, as a change in the rate of renewal of the content of training programs and the continuous training of teaching staff and specialists in the field is necessary. The one-sided training of specialists must be defeat, which requires the revision of study programs but also the involvement of stakeholders from the real economy.
