The paper presents authors experience on identifying, categorizing and weighting the NVH effects from important sources as Electric Motor, Wind, Tires & Road, Electronics, HVAC as well as Warning noises. The focus of this research is to use advanced Simulations and Test methods to ‘shift left’ the problematics of NVH in the early stage of product development using already available test data which feed performant simulation tools. The aim is to optimize the NVH performance in the context of all new car key attributes at the moment of product lifecycle when the cost is minimal.
