The paper presents experimental researches carried out on an AVL Single Cylinder Diesel Engine at ICDT - Research & Development Institute, at Transilvania University of Brasov. In this study, the engine was initially fueled with diesel to establish benchmark performance. Later, the testing scenario were carried out with the same single-cylinder engine fueled with mixtures of diesel and kerosene. Several series of measurements were conducted with different proportions of kerosene in the fuel mixture. Experimental results highlighted the influence of using mixture of diesel-fuel and kerosene on energetic performances as power, fuel consumption, cylinder pressure and other parameters.
