SLR Based on Requirement Elicitation and Modeling in GSD

Requirements elicitation, also known as requirements gathering, refers to the process of researching and discovering the necessary requirements for a system or software prior to development. This is typically accomplished through deep consultations with users, customers, and other stakeholders involved in the project. However, this process can be challenging in software development, as it is difficult to ensure that all necessary requirements are obtained simply by asking users what the system should or should not do. As a result, requirement elicitation has become a complex and risky phase of the requirement engineering process. In the context of global software development (GSD), requirement elicitation becomes even more difficult. This has been a topic of extensive research over the past decade, with a focus on identifying effective methods for analyzing and identifying evidence-based results related to requirement elicitation models. In this study, we conducted a systematic literature review (SLR) to achieve two main objectives: first, to analyze existing systematic reviews and identify evidence-based results related to requirement elicitation in GSD; and second, to identify proposed requirement elicitation models and evaluate their efficacy. The use of systematic reviews is an advanced methodology that comprehensively covers this field, and can be applied in the proposed scenario. Existing literature contains numerous elicitation models that fulfill different development artifacts, but our results indicate that the evidence is insufficient in quantity and immature. We require full evidence from all perspectives to make actionable and context-sensitive decisions that evaluate solutions with novelty from the existing literature. The quality of systematic reviews is superior to other existing methods in terms of searching, study selection, and data presentation. However, the analysis of systematic reviews and the use of evidence in the initial stages of the study is not in depth, and only presents the types of evidence that already exist. To achieve our desired results, systematic reviews (SLRs and Maps) should be evidence-based, with better quality for the synthesis of results in the case of requirement elicitation.
