摘要

Objective: to compare the asymmetry index (AI) of the vGRF normalized by body weight (nvGRF) in persons with multiple sclerosis (pwEM) compared to healthy subjects. Methods: A cross-sectional, retrospective study was carried out. The study included pwMS with moderate disability (EDSS score between 4.5 and 6). Gait analysis data were collected by 3D motion capture using the Vicon Motion System® and 3 AMTI® force platforms in an 11 m corridor. Results: data from 12 pwMS and 12 healthy controls were evaluated. The AI of the vGRF did not differ significantly between groups (p?=?0.353; p?=?0.078). Significant differences in peak values of the nvGRF were observed. Conclusions: nvGRF peaks may better reflect involvement in moderately affected pwMS compared to AI due to possible bilateral involvement of both lower limbs.
