Integrating Telemedicine and Metaverse Care in Neurorehabilitation: A Metaverse Approach to Addressing Migraine Stigma
摘要
This paper introduces the Metaverse Headache Platform, an innovative Metaverse-based system explicitly designed to enhance the rehabilitation process for migraine sufferers through accurate diagnosis and treatment grounded in the principles of embodied cognition. The importance of addressing both the physical and perceptual aspects of migraine therapy is recognized, leveraging the immersive capabilities of the Metaverse to create a supportive and engaging therapeutic environment. We conducted an empirical study with migraine patients, who are using telemedicine, to assess the effectiveness and patient satisfaction with this novel system. Our analysis reveals that a substantial majority of participants reported high levels of satisfaction regarding the system’s capacity to provide appropriate diagnostic and rehabilitative services. These findings suggest that the Metaverse Headache Platform holds significant potential as a transformative tool for migraine management and neurological rehabilitation.
