Challenges and Future Directions for Reliable Assessment in Neurorehabilitation
摘要
In motor neurorehabilitation, integrating biomarkers into clinical practice faces many challenges—clinical, technological, and methodological. Biomarkers derived from kinematics, muscle and brain activity provide objective information about the patient’s status, informing treatment evaluation and personalizing interventions. This workshop explores current efforts and challenges in biomarker development, emphasizing the need for standardized frameworks and better methodologies. In particular, we focus on addressing gaps in biomarker standardization, transferability, and shareability, with the aim of accelerating reliable assessment practices in neurorehabilitation, thus improving patient outcomes and technological advancements.
