Kinematic Measures as Indicators of ADL Performance in pwMS

This study investigates the relationship between kinematic parameters of activities of daily living (ADL) and laboratory sensorimotor tests in people with multiple sclerosis (pwMS). Despite the absence of significant group differences in most parameters, notable correlations were identified between laterality measures and kinematic ADL performance. Our findings indicate that pwMS who exhibit lateralized grip strength tend to move more slowly and less smoothly, hinting at the potential to measure even mild impairments using kinematic performance.
