BLE-Based Chair Occupancy Detection: A Low-Energy Approach for Smart Care

This paper presents a chair monitoring system to enhance caregiving for individuals with mobility issues, especially the elderly Sensors and control boards on chairs collect occupancy data, which is sent to a centralized database for analysis. Advanced algorithms track patterns, detect anomalies, and provide real-time alerts to caregivers and family members. Key features include setup procedures, malfunction analysis, and scalability for monitoring multiple chairs. The system is affordable and effective, offering a promising solution for improving caregiving and preventing accidents or emergencies. This research contributes to assistive technology by supporting individuals with mobility limitations in their daily lives .
