Surgical Trial Design: Interventions and Blinding
摘要
Surgical trials are unique in that they encompass a wide spectrum of techniques and potential areas of investigation. The nature of these interventions poses a challenge to blinding, as the traditional placebo pill is often impractical in this setting. Within this chapter, we explore the array of approaches employed in surgical RCTs, along with the inventive ways in which blinding participants and study personnel to these interventions is accomplished.
