Cyberattacks: Disclosures in Business Reports

The increasing use of technologies has greatly facilitated work activities, promoting process optimization, speed, and efficiency in task execution. However, the digital age, with the massive use of the internet and cloud storage allowing easy access to information from anywhere, has brought along with its advantages and some drawbacks. One of these drawbacks is the ease of unauthorized access. With this work, the aim is to address the topic of cybersecurity in the business context. By exploring different types of cyberattacks such as ransomware, phishing, and denial of service attacks, it will be examined the impact of these threats on Portuguese organizations. The methodology employed was the Systematic Literature Review with PRISMA 2020, enabling the analysis and synthesis of relevant studies on the subject. This study includes a documentary study regarding the analysis of reports from some companies that were victims of cyberattacks, focusing on keywords related to cybersecurity. The findings contribute to a deeper understanding of the challenges faced by companies regarding information security and underscore the importance of protection against cyber threats.
