The chapter frames the AIXE (AI user eXperience Evaluation) scale, a statistically validated questionnaire to assess the UX of AI-infused products, describing its development process as well as its validation. AIXE is composed by 33 questions with 4 ordinal Likert-scale answers, organized around 12 descriptors related to the UX of the target systems. The questionnaire is meant to be proposed to the intended users of AI-infused products to quantitatively analyse the user experience they convey. The chapter further illustrates how the scale can be applied, its limitations and future opportunities.
