Drug Delivery System – The Construction and Use of the Graphical Interface in Modeling the Controlled Release of Drugs in the Human Body
摘要
Drug delivery becomes more specific from systemic to organ and cellular targeting. Traditional delivery systems are characterized by immediate and uncontrolled drug release kinetic. Concurrent controlled release systems allow for drug concentration in the blood or target tissues maintained at the desired value as long as possible. The main purpose of the work is (i) a review of the available mathematical models of controlled drug release and then (ii) their implementation in the form of a simple and user-friendly interface. Novelty and contribution lies in combining different models into one coherent system and switching them in a way that makes it easier to compare and choose the best one. The construction of a graphical interface solving the subject of this work, to-gether with the use of models of controlled drug release in the body, helped to understand the mathematical modeling of controlled drug release in the body. This allowed analyzing the drug release process in more detail.
