The article draws attention to the delays in introducing the DVB-T2 standard in some European countries. The article is intended to show the advantages of the new DVB-T2 standard over the old DVB-T. The standards were compared with the literature. The article provides qualitative measures for comparison. The research model was presented and used in the measurement comparison. At the end, the research results and a summary are presented. The summary mentioned the narrowing of the available spectrum for terrestrial television. It was mentioned that the new standard will provide the same or greater programming offer in changing spectral conditions.
