This chapter explores the current landscape and prospects of musculoskeletal (MSK) regenerative medicine, focusing on the principles, clinical applications, and innovative approaches that are transforming patient care. It begins by outlining the foundational aspects of regenerative therapies, including the role of stem cells, platelet-rich plasma (PRP), and the extracellular matrix (ECM) in tissue repair. The chapter then delves into the practical application of these therapies, highlighting their effectiveness in treating conditions such as osteoarthritis and tendon injuries. Emerging technologies like induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs), photo-biomodulation therapy (PBMT), and 3D bioprinting are discussed as promising tools that could revolutionise MSK regeneration. Additionally, the chapter addresses the challenges of translating research into clinical practice, including regulatory and ethical considerations, and emphasises the importance of personalised medicine in optimising therapeutic outcomes.
