Genetic Algorithm for Phylogenetic Tree Reconstruction
摘要
Phylogeny reconstruction based on nucleotide sequence data is used in solving fundamental and practical problems of analyzing biological objects. Many algorithms and programs are available for phylogeny. The most commonly used character-based methods, maximum likelihood estimation and Bayes method. The computational complexity of the tree reconstruction problem grows with the number of taxa in the phylogeny. This article investigates the efficiency of solving the problem of the phylogenetic tree inference problem using a genetic algorithm that implements the principles of natural selection to find optimal solutions. The results of computational experiments present using the genetic algorithm for phylogeny reconstruction involving rbcl and trnK sequence data for 51 taxa of plants.
