Asynchronous Teaching: A Newly Discovered Resource
摘要
This chapter looks at asynchronous emergency teaching and learning from student and teacher perspectives. The data presented in this chapter are derived from institutional course webpages and answers to different questionnaires. Data on asynchronous communication regarding learner-teacher, learner-learner and learner-content interaction were first collected by accessing the online resources used to teach English linguistics and English language classes during the first stage of the pandemic (2019–2020). Then, a more comprehensive insight into the short- and medium-term impact of this modality is provided by students’ and teachers’ answers to the questionnaires administered in the different rounds of data collection.
