摘要

Radiological evaluation is a cornerstone in the preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative management of cochlear implantation, especially for patients with congenital or acquired anomalies of the inner ear. Utilizing advanced imaging modalities such as high-resolution computed tomography (CT) and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), clinicians can obtain detailed anatomical insights into the cochlea, vestibular structures, and cochlear nerve. These evaluations are critical in diagnosing malformations such as cochlear hypoplasia, incomplete partitions, or cochlear nerve deficiencies, which significantly influence surgical planning and outcomes. Furthermore, radiological assessments aid in identifying potential contraindications, predicting surgical challenges, and ensuring proper electrode placement. This study highlights the indispensable role of a systematic radiological approach in determining implant candidacy, improving surgical precision, and optimizing long-term auditory rehabilitation. By integrating advanced imaging techniques into routine clinical practice, the outcomes and safety of cochlear implantation procedures are greatly enhanced, contributing to better patient care and functional hearing restoration.
