Treatment of a Dislocated Ankle in an Infected Charcot Foot by Hinged External Circular Frame
摘要
Diabetes mellitus has become one of the most common issues in medicine in the last few decades (2019). The true prevalence and incidence of diabetic Charcot neuropathy are unknown, but it is estimated to affect 0.8–8% of diabetic populations (2011). Charcot neuropathy patients commonly present with foot and ankle deformities, ulcers, and osteomyelitis which require surgical intervention. Here, we present a patient with a dislocated ankle in an infected Charcot foot.
