摘要
Brachymetatarsia is a rare congenital condition caused by premature epiphyseal closure of the metatarsals. It is often bilateral, commonly affects the 4th metatarsal and has a strong female demographic predisposition. Correction of this deformity with distraction osteogenesis is safe and effective.
