Integrated Reconstruction for Chronic Hindfoot Dislocations with Arthrodesis
摘要
Chronic hindfoot dislocations can be treated with gradual reduction using hexapod external fixation methods followed by arthrodesis with internal fixation and frame removal or modification. This technique limits the need for significant bone resection and potential soft tissue complications associated with acute corrections. These pathologic dislocations are often associated with diabetes, neuropathy, or inflammatory arthritis, which are all associated with higher complication rates. This technique limits the risks of major complications.
