摘要
This case is about a male patient with Charcot-Marie-Tooth Disease (CMT) Charcot Marie Tooth Disease (CMT)who presented with equino-cavovarus foot and ankle deformityEquino-cavo-varus foot and ankle deformity. Correction of the deformity was achieved by soft tissue releaseSoft tissue release in the form of the Achilles tendon lengthening contributing to the equinus. In addition partial correction of the cavus was attained by soft tissue release of the plantar fascia. Correction of the bony deformity was achieved by a midfoot osteotomyMidfoot osteotomy accompanied by Taylor spatial frame (TSF)Taylor Spatial Frame (TSF) application for gradual correction of the residual cavus and forefoot supination/adduction deformity. Claw toes were managed by percutaneous flexor tendon releases and pinning. This resulted in a plantigrade foot with very good functional outcome.
