Charcot Foot with Chronic Osteomyelitis and Lateral Sub-talar Dislocation

This patient has a lateral dislocation of the foot from underneath the talus, chronic osteomyelitis, and severe osteoporosis secondary to being non-weight bearing for a prolonged period. Treatment was accomplished at a single-stage surgery with resection of the infected bone, treatment with culture-specific antibiotic therapy, reduction of the dislocation, and stabilization with a statically applied circular external fixator.
