Charcot Foot with Dynamic Varus Deformity

This patient has a varus deformity of the foot that is caused by the motor imbalance from resection of the base of the fifth metatarsal and disengagement of the peroneus brevis tendon. Surgical correction involves correction of the motor deformity combined with weakening of the deforming posterior tibialis tendon.
