摘要

A 16 year old male sustained an acute pathological tibial fracture, while playing basketball, distal to previously established midshaft tibial malunion with valgus-recurvatum deformity, lateral translation, and 2.5 cm leg length discrepancy (LLD). The fracture was treated initially by a long-leg cast immobilization converted to TrueLok circular external fixation to establish the union at the pathological fracture site, equalize limb length, and correct complex multi-planar tibial deformity.
