摘要

This is a 13-year 8-month-old non-English-speaking male who recently immigrated to the United States with clinical and radiographic features consistent with late-onset Blount disease of the right lower extremity. The patient underwent lateral hemi-epiphysiodesis of both the distal femur and the proximal tibia 1 year prior to his definitive procedure. Subsequently, the patient underwent a right proximal tibial osteotomy with gradual correction using a circular frame. Postoperatively, the patient was placed on chemical prophylaxis for prevention of deep venous thrombosis and was transferred to an inpatient rehabilitation facility. Approximately 1 month after application of the frame, the patient had complete restoration of his mechanical alignment and equalization of limb lengths. Two months later the circular frame was removed.
