摘要

This is a case of a 5 year old child with severe arthrogryposis who was unable to stand or ambulate because of severe hip and knee flexion contracturesSevere hip and knee flexion contractures. She had functional upper extremities. She underwent simultaneous correction of each contracture in the form of proximal femoral osteotomies to correct the flexion deformity of her hips and distal femoral supracondylar osteotomies to correct her knee flexion contractures. She was immobilized in a hip spica for 6 weeks followed by intense physiotherapy. At 2 years follow-up, she was ambulating independently with long braces (KAFOKAFO). She had flexion deformities of her hips about 20° and range of motion of her knees was from 10° to 90°.
