Coxa Vara in a Nine-Year-Old Boy with Osteogenesis Imperfecta
摘要
This is a case of coxa vara in a 9 year old boy with osteogenesis imperfecta type VI. Deformity of the left femur was corrected at the age 4 years using multiple osteotomies and insertion of a telescoping Fassier-Duval rod. A varus deformity of the hip subsequently developed. This was surgically corrected by removing the old implant, performing a subtrochanteric osteotomy and achieving bony stability using a Fassier-Duval rod supplemented with two K-wires.
