Extra-articular Deformity Correction and then Staged THR and TKR

This case illustrates an approach to manage degenerative hip impingement, femoral malrotation, and leg length discrepancy in the context of a young adult with previous interventions for congenital femoral deficiency. This patient’s care was provided in multiple stages including correction of multiapical femoral deformity followed by total hip replacement, tibial derotation, and finally total knee replacement over the course of 24 months. Notably, 3D-printed models to assist with preoperative planning.
