摘要

Massive or critical sized bone defects are generally defined as segmental bone defects greater than 6–8 cm. These defects will not heal without surgical intervention and pose specific problems with acute grafting or acute shortening. This is a case of an infected knee prosthetic arthrodesis that was treated with endoprosthetic removal and cable transport over an intramedullary knee fusion nail.
