Acute Correction of Multiplane Deformity and Bone Defect as a Result of Complication After Distal Femoral Opening Wedge Osteotomy

  • Lee Donghoon

摘要

This is a case of treating flexion deformity and bone defect that occurred after open wedge osteotomy of distal femur. When performing osteotomy surgery, coronal, sagittal, and rotational alignment should be all checked and controlled to prevent additional deformity that could occur during the surgery. Furthermore, osteotomy around the knee has a high healing potential and additional cortical graft material is not necessary in addition to stable fixation using proper fixation methods. Cortical bone graft is not recommended for osteotomy around the knee.
