摘要

Small footprint in fracture fixation to preserve biology is important for bone healing. This is especially relevant in comminuted fractures to ensure small fragments maintain their soft tissue attachment and thereby capacity to heal. Elderly patients almost always suffer from osteoporosis and therefore internal fixation devices may suffer from lack of decent purchase and are, therefore, not always ideal. We describe a percutaneous elevation and stabilization for Schatzker type 6 tibial plateau fracture using a circular frame in an elderly patient.
