Leg Length Discrepancy Combined with Multiplane Deformities and Recurrent Patella Dislocation

  • Lee Donghoon

摘要

The optimal level of osteotomy and the order of correction are important factors in the treatment of a patient with leg length discrepancy, multiple level deformity, and recurrent patella dislocation. It is especially important to treat the underlying bony deformity that contributes to the instability of patellofemoral joint, which in this case is excessive femur anteversion and distal valgus. Furthermore, it is critical to minimize soft tissue damage and thermal injury of bone with minimally invasive techniques for all procedures which can reduce complications such as nonunion, deep infection, and joint contracture.
