Recurrent Patello-Femoral Dislocations Treated with Femoral Rotational Osteotomy and Supratubercule Tibial Osteotomy

Surgical management of patellar instability is directed at correcting the underlying anatomical anomalies that lead to patellar maltracking and instability. Therefore, a variety of surgical procedures are available to correct the soft tissue anomalies and bony deformities that contribute to patellar instability. In this chapter, we describe the case of a 15-year-old patient with recurrent right patellar instability due to rotational malalignment of the right lower limb. He underwent right lower extremity rotational deformity correction with a femoral rotational osteotomy and supratubercle tibial osteotomy. The patient had a favorable postoperative course. He was able to return to his previous level of activity and did not have any further episode of patellar instability.
