Lengthening and Correction of Femur Malunion Followed by High Tibial Osteotomy

This is a case of a 53-year-old male referred to clinic by a total joint surgeon with femoral malunion with shortening and medial knee pain. He was treated for his deformity and shortening with a staged internal fixation of his femur and tibia prior to joint replacement. Biplanar external fixationBiplanar external fixation aided in femoral correction using an intramedullary lengthening nail.
