Staged Total Hip Arthroplasty and Femoral Lengthening for Chronic Developmental Hip Dysplasia

摘要

Adults presenting with untreated developmental hip dysplasia can have substantial leg length discrepancy due to proximal migration of the femur. This case demonstrates a staged approach to LLD correction, first with a total hip arthroplasty with femoral shortening to reduce the hip into the native acetabulum, followed by a retrograde femoral lengthening nail to restore the subtracted bone and correct residual deformity.
