Tibial Lengthening Using a PRECICE Nail

A 17 year old male, with a history of fibular hemimelia and congenital femoral deficiency, presents with a residual limb length discrepancy (LLD) on the right lower extremity of 3.5 cm. The patient previously underwent right Tibia lengtheninglower limb lengthening with external fixation. There is moderate anterior-posterior knee instabilityKnee instability. The patient underwent a right tibia lengthening using the PRECICE nail, gastrocnemius lengthening, and botulinum toxin injections to the anterior tibial and peroneal muscles. A successful outcome was obtained at the end of the treatment.
