The park operates as a circular rainwater basin, collecting water from surrounding semi-permeable landscapes and channeling it to sunken, lushly planted areas. At its lowest point, a central plaza and amphitheater serve as the focal points, with meandering paths leading visitors through the park’s rain gardens and play areas. The park’s design integrates multifunctional elements, such as an edge that functions as both a waterway and a traffic barrier, enhancing play and recreation opportunities. Semi-arid vegetation plays a crucial role in adapting to the region’s climate, aiding in groundwater recharge, and supporting local biodiversity. This vegetation also contributes to temperature regulation and offers shade. The revitalized space, previously underutilized, now becomes a dynamic urban area that invites daily enjoyment. Colorful concrete stepping stones and established trees encourage exploration and interaction with the green infrastructure.
