Although signs of unrest and alarm are seen in Mallorca, Catalonia and Aragon during July, before, during and after the incidents in the Kingdom of Valencia, the major outbreaks did not occur in these locations until August. In the Catalan counties, we observe many of the same features as in Valencia, with outside instigators and rapid contagion between locations. The pattern observed in Aragon is rather different; a very long period of tension resulted in few major incidents, nothing on the annihilatory scale of other polities.

摘要

Although signs of unrest and alarm are seen in Mallorca, Catalonia and Aragon during July, before, during and after the incidents in the Kingdom of Valencia, the major outbreaks did not occur in these locations until August. In the Catalan counties, we observe many of the same features as in Valencia, with outside instigators and rapid contagion between locations. The pattern observed in Aragon is rather different; a very long period of tension resulted in few major incidents, nothing on the annihilatory scale of other polities.
