The Future Anxiety of Jadara University Students in Light of the Corona Pandemic

The study aimed to identify the level of future anxiety among students at Jadara University in light of the Corona pandemic (COVID-19). The descriptive analytical approach was used, and in terms of data collection, a measure of the levels of areas of anxiety among students of Jadara University in the northern region of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan was used. The component consists of 25 items distributed equally over five areas, namely: relationships, lack of self-esteem, aimless future, work, and money. The study sample consisted of 950 male and female students from all university colleges, and the results of the study resulted in the following: the level of concern about the future ranked high, and the area of self-doubt ranked last. Additionally, it was discovered that the gender variable did not significantly affect the average responses of the study participants, and the college variable significantly affected the average estimates of the study sample members in all fields of study, favoring the estimates of the (humanitarian) colleges. There are statistically significant differences between the average estimates of the study sample members in all fields due to the academic level variable in favor of the estimates of the students at the academic stage.
