Qualitative Exploration of Acceptance Dynamics of Digital Facility Management Among UAE Facility Managers
摘要
Digital facility management systems (DFMS) embody a revolutionary paradigm in facility management, leveraging digital technologies to optimize efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and overall performance in physical space management. Adaptable to diverse organizational needs, these systems emerge as indispensable tools in modern facility management practices. This paper employs qualitative exploration, employing thematic analysis, to delve into the determinants influencing the acceptance of DFMS. By scrutinizing user perceptions, organizational dynamics, and contextual factors, the study unravels pivotal insights shaping the seamless integration of cutting-edge technologies. Focused on facility managers in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), the research addresses three key questions, probing the familiarity level with DFMS, unravelling perceived benefits in the UAE’s facilities management sector, and identifying influential acceptance factors. The findings contribute nuanced insights into DFMS acceptance dynamics, offering a tailored understanding of the UAE context and signifying a crucial step toward informed awareness, strategic implementation, and successful adoption of digital solutions in the UAE’s facilities management landscape.
