The Reality of E-learning Platforms: Solutions and Challenges

The study sought to investigate the actuality of computer-based e-learning systems and the obstacles they have encountered. In order to accomplish the goals of the study, a descriptive-analytical methodology was utilized. This involved examining the present circumstances and analyzing data and information utilizing content analysis. In the realm of higher and general education, a range of educational platforms were employed, such as Munathara and Classroom inside the Ministry of Education, the “SQUMOOC” platform, and the “Moodle” platform utilized by institutions. As of May 27, 2021, the survey revealed that there were 267,305 pupils, 421,690 teachers, 927 administrators, and 4,199,970 parents using the Munathara platform. As of May 27, 2021, there were a total of 36,200 active professors and 410,000 active students using Munathara. On a single day, there were 56,680 synchronous sessions. The paper also emphasized the utilization of diverse educational platforms and specialized programs by certain universities, such as Eastern University. The study found several concerns, such as issues with assessment standards and procedures, unpreparedness of educational platforms, lack of student participation, time management difficulties, and the length of lectures or class sessions. The study suggested investigating the experiences of developed nations in the realm of online education via educational platforms in order to implement optimal methods and address the current issues.
