摘要

The bottle collecting machine is a system for the separation of urban solid waste, which incorporates an artificial vision process for the identification of objects, increases its precision and efficiency. In this document, design and construction of a bottle collecting machine that performs an automated process of obtaining and classifying plastic bottles, glass and aluminum bottles. It has a general structure that has a hole for the entry of waste to be separated and a screen with a graphic interface for communication with user. Inside the machine, there is a conveyor belt that moves, together with two separate levers, bottles to their respective container. The machine is controlled by means of a Raspberry Pi 4B device controlled by Python programming language that uses the OpenCV free artificial vision library for object recognition through color segmentation techniques. The system can identify and separate plastic bottles of up to 600 ml, glass bottles of up to 355 ml, and aluminum cans of 473 ml, all of this through an artificial vision system. The project has a human-machine interface in which the user can view through a screen the total number of bottles entered and the type of each one.
