The Role of Generative Artificial Intelligence in Educational Innovation

This article analyzes the role of Generative Artificial Intelligence (IAG) in educational innovation focused on teacher training by integrating artificial intelligence in educational contexts of postgraduate higher education in virtual education, Colombia from 2022–2023. The study is developed through the use and knowledge of Generative Artificial Intelligence applied in the solution of educational problems that emerge from research processes (module degree work in teachers before last year); the design methodology was carried out with a mixed study (quantitative and qualitative); the method is quasi-experimental. Based on this work, the design and implementation were carried out from the conceptualization of ideas to the design of practical solutions in educational research proposal; qualitative techniques were used through semi-structured interviews with him to categorize and describe the perceptions and experiences of researchers and teachers involved in the training process, as well as quantitative techniques applied to evaluate and validate the heuristics of the design, implementation, and validation of the prompt through the analysis plan with indices of confidence of Cronbach’s alpha to triangulate the research. The results demonstrate and make visible the interaction of the participants with the IAG in the evaluation of IAG obtained a high average (4.5) which integrated learning experiences as educational content.
