Embedded Electronic System for Sudden Infant Death Prevention in Crib Babies
摘要
The prototype is an embedded system that detects a young infant’s respiratory rhythm through diaphragm movements. This detects the main symptom of sudden infant death, which is a lack of oxygen, sending an immediate alert to the parent. The system aims to reduce the cases of infant death syndrome, commonly known as “crib death.” The prototype will integrate non-invasive sensors to monitor the infant. These sensors will check the vital signs and alert when a problem is detected. The alert will be sent from the device to the cell phone of the parent, guardian, caregiver, childcare provider, or doctor through a web service and emergency call.
