Aging can be a positive experience, synonymous with a longer life and accompanied by continued opportunities for health, participation, and security on the path to achieving longevity. For promote healthy aging and improve the lives of older people in society, their families and communities, effective involvement and synergies of fundamental changes are needed. Not just in the actions we take, but in the way we think about age and aging. In the Decade of Healthy Aging (2020–2030) there is a global and local commitment to invest in four areas of action: change the way we think, feel and act in relation to age and aging; ensure that communities promote the capabilities of older people; deliver person-centered and person-friendly integrated care and primary health care services elderly; and provide access to long-term care for elderly people who need it. This study focuses on the way we think about age, aging, and longevity. Has as main objective to show how the way we think about our aging and that of others can contribute to a life path of health and longevity. A systematic review of the literature to integrate existing information, which followed the principles of PRISMA, generating data that help make decisions and strategies that lead to good practices. The results allowed identify mental maps and training plans of a psychological nature to guarantee to think again about the elderly-friendly community, where the promotion of feelings and positive actions in relation to age and aging throughout life enable an empowered life and happy.
