Introduction Lungs are the main organ affected by the SAR-CoV-2 virus. The inflammation of the bronchi resulting from the infection leads to decreased oxygen absorption capacity and airway compromise. Covid-19 causes medium and long-term clinical sequelae with a substantial impact on the quality of life of affected individuals. Objectives: The main objective of this study focuses on evaluating the impact of an exercise program on the rehabilitation of individuals who have suffered from SARS-CoV-2 infection. The specific objectives are to evaluate respiratory function (plethysmography and oscillometry), functional capacity and cardiorespiratory endurance (6MWT), and quality of life after a rehabilitation program. Methods: This study is characterized as longitudinal comparative and correlational quasi-experimental. The participants went through an initial assessment (T0) and follow-up (T1) after performing a six-week exercise program. The population included in this study consisted of individuals aged between 35 and 75 years, belonging to the municipality of Castelo Branco. Conclusion: The practice of exercise had a positive effect on the pulmonary function of the participants in study, with significant improvements in central (R20Hz) and total (R5Hz) resistance of the airways. Although with no statistical significance, the exercise showed an effect on the aerobic capacity of the individuals.
