This chapter explores the resurgence of feminist movements in Spain, particularly from the 2010s to 2021, highlighting the significant influence of the 15M movement and subsequent mobilizations against austerity and regressive social policies. It examines how new generations of feminists emerged during these protests, focusing on issues such as sexual and reproductive rights, gender-based violence, and care work. The chapter delves into the organizational structures of the movement, characterized by horizontal and deliberative forms, as well as innovative repertoires of action, including feminist strikes and digital activism. It also addresses the challenges faced by the movement, particularly the internal debates on LGBTQ+ rights and sex work, which have created fractures within the feminist community. The analysis underscores the movement’s success in pushing gender issues onto the national political agenda, while also navigating the complexities of intersectionality and the rise of anti-gender movements.
