The conclusion of this volume synthesizes the findings of the preceding chapters, arguing that the emergence of a new wave of feminist movements since 2010 has significantly reshaped the landscape of gender activism across Europe. This wave, catalyzed by global transformations, has responded to challenges such as the backlash against women’s and LGBTQIA+ rights, rising gender-based violence, and the socio-economic repercussions of neoliberal capitalism. The chapter highlights the role of transnational networks, especially those from the Global South, in spreading feminist repertoires and collective frames, which have inspired movements across Europe. The analysis underscores the importance of intersectionality, transnational solidarity, and grassroots activism in this new wave, while also acknowledging the internal tensions and the impact of anti-gender movements. The conclusion calls for further research to address the remaining gaps in understanding the dynamics of feminist movements, particularly in the context of rising authoritarianism and global inequalities.
