Behçet’s disease (BD) is a rare and chronic inflammatory disorder that affects multiple organs and systems, impairing the quality of life (QoL) of patients. This chapter reviews the current literature on the impact of BD on QoL and the factors that influence it, such as disease activity, severity, duration, organ involvement, treatment, psychological distress, social functioning, and stigma. It also discusses the various scales that have been used to measure QoL in BD, both generic and specific, and their advantages and limitations. This chapter highlights the importance of assessing and improving QoL in BD, as it is associated with the clinical outcomes, psychological well-being, and coping abilities of patients. It also suggests some strategies to enhance QoL in BD, such as early diagnosis, effective treatment, multidisciplinary care, patient education, psychological support, and social integration.
